Sacred Samhain Blessings
Deep Ancestral blessings to all your relations during this sacred Samhain season. At this time, I celebrate An Cailleach who is the Grandmother of the world and has appeared for thousands of years in many different cultures and many different forms.
She was sometimes known as a group of supernatural female spirits, the Storm Hags, who bring the cleansing storm of death that comes to put Mama Earth to rest over Winter.
In the 7-Threads Animist path, An Cailleach returns us to our true and wild nature through the medicine of the ancient winds of the North. She is the Creatrix and mother of Mama Earth. Occasionally though she can be a tough teacher who comes as a cleansing storm in our lives to bring us to a place of letting go and rest.
She removes and clears anything that may be blocking our vision, our heart, and our destiny. Although her cleansing storms can be challenging, she is also the holder of deep and profound compassion. She is full of infinite wisdom and knows our bones, in which we inherit and carry our indestructible gifts.
Enjoy this beautiful and sacred, potent portal. Celebrate your ancestors in your own creative personal way, give thanks to them for the gifts you have inherited from them. Ask their support as you make a commitment of action to bring your unique gifts and essence to the world when the time is right. An Cailleach will carry us through this winter as we rest in her tomb-womb, the sacred space in between.
On Winter Solstice, the light will return and she will begin to hold us and breath new life into us as we gather energy for Spring. An Cailleach, often appears as Grandmother Owl who carries us through the twilight from death to rebirth. I will be offering ceremony on Winter Solstice 2019, in Vancouver with Sisters in Sound where we will take you on a deep soul journey to meet An Cailleach and travel with her as Owl all the way from darkness to the new light. You'll have a chance to let go of anything that hasn't served you this year so She can take it back to Mama Earth for composting. Then in the sweetness of the new light, She will reveal the seeds you can carry and grow in the New Year. I hope you can join us.
