APPRENTICESHIP DETAILS
Dates & Times
Online gatherings are Wednesday evenings about twice per month.
Each module is made up of a 2-hour Circle (7pm-9pm pst)
+ a 90-minute Circle (7pm-8:30pm pst)
Please note, there are some months with one circle and some with three.
There are no classes in Summer (July and August)
Classes close for Summer on July 10, 2024 and resume September 11, 2024
Final date and Closing Ceremony is November 27, 2024
Since I don’t send reminders on class days, please print out this sheet with all of the dates laid out for you.

Zoom Self-Care & Protocols
Zoom fatigue is real! Here’s some suggestions that will support you to participate, feel included, and prevent Zoom fatigue.
I appreciate your camera on during class, however, it’s best to turn it off for any activities that involve introspection (meditation, grounding, journeying, dance journeys)
Turn off the Self View mode. We were never meant to be talking to others while seeing ourselves in a mirror so turning this off can eliminate that distraction
Make the Zoom window as small as you can on your computer screen.
If you find Gallery view overwhelming, use the PIN option and pin me so it feels like it’s just the two of us having a chat.
If however, you find Gallery view easier on your nervous system, try that.
Turn down your screen brightness to rest your eyes
PROTOCOLS
No personal sharing will be recorded
If you have a question and don’t want others to see it, put it in the chat directly to Nina
If you are doing an activity or need to move around a lot, please turn off your screen as it’s distracting for myself and others.
Whatsapp Group
Spiritual Mentorship is available to you throughout the program. The best way to access this is through Whatsapp. I’ve created a Group Chat and this is where I’ll text any logistics for the group. If you have a question that you think would benefit the group, this is a great place to leave it.
You each have a 60-min individual session available to you during the program. I am leaving it up to you to book this in. I am also available if you find yourself with questions or just needing a bit of support as you go along. The best way to access this is by contacting me directly (not the group) using a voice memo on Whatsapp.
Watch this quick tutorial explaining Whatsapp and the Voice Memo feature.
Online Meetings
Here’s a list of what you will need:
An updated version of Zoom
Whatsapp downloaded onto your phone
A quiet space where you can be for our online meetings and not be disturbed. This is ideally a space where you can sit comfortably, lay down, and also have space for our dance journeys too.
A bandanna or eye cover for journeying
An updated version of Spotify. During our Dance Journeys I use Spotify playlists I have created. Some participants find that dancing to the volume that comes through Zoom is inadequate. So, if you really want to enjoy the experience, I suggest you play the playlist independently (eg, through your phone) and have it connected to a speaker. It’s pretty next level.
A binder if you would like to download and print out handouts
There’s likely things I have forgotten but will add here
Retreats
Here’s a list of what you will need unless I let you know otherwise:
A foamie max 25” wide
Yoga mat, blanket, cushions, backjack
Your personal journal and your QR Apprenticeship Journal
A bandanna or eye cover for journeying
Earplugs for sleeping later in the night
Water bottle
Personal items
A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT ONLINE GATHERINGS
The nature of the journey through the apprenticeship is one of healing and transformation. This means that you may experience discomfort due to the heavy, unconscious material that gets stirred up. When that happens, you will likely experience some reluctance. Your ego might question your choice to be here, your body might become very tired and lethargic, and your mind may give you a thousand reasons not to show up. Reluctance can make showing up to our Zoom calls (where accountability is lower) really challenging.
So, I want to address this up front! On the days when you think you’re not enough, or too much, too tired, too busy, or too messed up - it’s important to show up. Just arrive as you are!
It’s on those days that the rest of us will have the joy of holding space for you and sharing our energy to carry you along. And on other days you will have the joy of reciprocating!
You see unlike regular school learning, the Medicine happens mostly through osmosis which means that the heart of this apprenticeship comes through the transmission and experience within community. So simply being in the space and being as present as you can on any given day is how you will receive and learn.
Remember that all of our online time will lead to our in-person gatherings, so your presence is important both for yourself and for the important part that you play in our collective.
Although providing recordings for all sessions seems to be standard practice at the moment, I believe it’s also an easy ticket to not show up. So a reminder that recordings aren’t part of this journey.
All that said, life happens! If you are not able to attend an online session on the rare occasion, I am more than happy to send you an audio recording and request that you listen before the next class.
You will receive worksheets and other materials as we go along, so don’t be too worried about not having all the information, instead focus on your inner work and the experience you are having as this will be your greatest teacher.
Finally, I’m a neurodivergent person which means that I have had my fair share of challenges with learning and the shame spiral of not showing up or not doing something “properly”. If you can relate to that, you will completely understand that I welcome you in whatever state you are in and trust you’ll simply do your best. Let’s keep the channel of communication open as I have lots of ways I can share that will support your learning.
