Radiant Heart Summer Retreat

It is with warm hearts and excitement that we welcome you to our summer retreat as we immerse into the work and joy of sitting in Ceremony together amongst the beautiful countryside of Black Creek on Vancouver Island.
We will breath the fresh air and press our bare feet to the ground as we return to the heart of Nature on the beautiful acreage.
Radiant Heart Summer Retreat will be held over 3 nights and 4 days in a beautiful retreat location north of Courtenay, about 90mins from Departure Bay Ferry terminal, Nanaimo.
Our Vision
We live in challenging and potent times. Many of us are questioning the agreements we are playing out as human beings; how we live with each other and the Earth. The personal and collective are inextricably linked and the pain and trauma of humans is affecting our mental, physical, relational and ecological lives.
We believe that coming together in ceremony is an important way of finding our way back to ourselves, each other and the natural world. It is a path to remembering our magnificence and the beauty that accompanies us in this human life. That we were meant for connection and Joy and that we can create this world, together.
This retreat will offer an inspiring, nourishing, creative container infused with two Deep Dive meditations to open consciousness, and one Forest-Cacao ceremony to align our hearts and deeply embody our work. Our transformational work will be woven with Animist soul processes, embodiment, and integration practices to access collective wisdom and carry our experience into our lives.
We gratefully acknowledge the land we will gather on as that of the Pentlatch, Kwakwaa’wak, E’iksan, Sahtlooth, and Sasitla peoples.

The Community Fund supports a participant receiving a scholarship so that this work remains accessible to those without financial means, as well as a donation to the Chakruna Institute who promotes reciprocity in the psychedelic community, and supports the protection of sacred plants and cultural traditions.
Sanctuary & Accommodations
Our journey will be supported by Pachamama in the beautiful forest retreat space, ceremonial sanctuary building, and community chill and dining area. We are surrounded by tree-lined meadows, forest, beautiful flower farm, and the many animal friends who live on the land - ducks, goats, and K9 friends
Accommodations are camping or shared dome space each of which allows for deep rest, decompression, and dreaming. The beauty of camping lays in the joy of a full immersion! Your meditation travels with you from the Temple, continuing into the dreaming and waking of your retreat in as you are surrounded and immersed in lush forest and fresh air, sleeping to the song of owls and waking to a chorus of morning birdsong. This is a profound opportunity to deepen your relationship and connection with your Soul and Mother Earth. (Even the non-campers in our community have loved this experience.)
If you do not have camping gear, you can rent from local places which you will find through Google. There may also be community members who have additional gear which they may be able to loan. Please be prepared for the possibility of rain.
Being close to Mama Earth, will provide you with an important opportunity to unplug, rest, and immerse into the medicine.
It is an option available for overnight sleeping in the Ceremonial Space.
There are limited spaces for small trailers, and van sleeping.
Carpooling is highly recommended as there is a limit on the amount of vehicles allowed into the retreat parking lot. If you are travelling from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo - share the cost of the ferry by participating in our carpool. The closest airport is YQQ Comox

Nourishment
There will be nourishing, and delicious meals provided. The food we eat is an important part of how we digest our emotional and spiritual experiences during our time together. We have lovingly crafted a menu to nourish your body, delight your pallet and also stay clean and healthy. Meals include: pre-ceremony and post-ceremony snacks, breakfasts/brunch, lunch, and a celebratory beach picnic dinner.

PREPARATION SESSION ONLINE

Our time beforehand is an important piece of co-creating our container while providing us with an opportunity to meet one another, clarify and answer any questions, iron out details, soothe concerns, and begin to feel into your intentions for the work.
INTEGRATION SESSION ONLINE

Integration is the key to creating powerful change in our lives and honouring the work of ourselves, our community, and the Medicine. Our integration session is an opportunity to deepen into the guidance and lessons we received, bring the conceptual into the concrete, and anchor your work into your daily life.
1:1 INTEGRATION SESSION with Angela or Jessie to be booked individually for after the retreat.

Even though it was just one weekend and I went in knowing really no one, I felt like I left with everyone being a close friend. The power of the retreat is still playing an active part in my life moving forward, as I find myself challenging past perspectives and literally forging a new way of being that is more in line with honouring who I really am. Your Guides
Known as a spontaneous songstress and wild adventurer without a flake of flakiness, LittleBird has immersed in the wisdom of many sacred landscapes, while learning Animist Folk Healing from her Celtic ancestors, Indigenous medicine teachers, and sacred Plant Teachers for over 25 years. As a Spiritual Teacher, Somatic Practitioner and initiated spiritual healer, she creates and holds trauma-informed magical containers so that people from all walks of life can meet the Sacred, experience deep healing, and embrace the beauty of being human. LittleBird is most at home in the ocean, dancing absolutely anywhere, and riding her bike in the sun.
Jessie Phoenix is a certified Somatic Counsellor, Folk Medicine Practitioner, and a skilled artisan. A long-time seeker, and devotee to transformation, deep dives, belly laughs and chai. She is dedicated to opening the channels between the body, heart, mind, and spirit by facilitating inner communication that leads to wholeness and access to our natural capacity for peace and joy. Jessie creates transformational spaces where people can awaken their innate empowerment to shine, leading them to create, and embody a loving world.
